DallerGut Dream Department Store

We are a sub-brand of the book DallerGut Dream Department Store, written by Miye Lee and translated to English by Sandy Joosun Lee. Miye Lee imagined a world of dreams and wonders with the hope of enriching people's life and help them have a good night's sleep (Lee, 2019, p.vi).

We kept this goal in mind and brought DallerGut Dream Department Store into life by combining the elements in the story and transforming it into a multi-sensory product designed to help people who have insomnia to relax and wind down.

SIGHT

The Immersive Projector & Night Light - Entering the realm of dreams

When we lie down on bed, thousands of thoughts races through our minds. The more we want it to stop, the more of it appears. We understand how overwhelming this feels, so wander through space and the nature with us, to calm your mind and put your worries at rest.

In the story, each dreammaker creates different kinds of dreams. We drew inspiration from the dreams they make and bring it in front of your eyes. The projector will project the following dreams for you to wander in:

1) "Floating in Space Gazing Down on Earth" by Wawa Sleepland (p.2)
2) "Living Forest" by Wawa Sleepland ( p.167-168)
3) "A Night in Middle Ages" by Wawa Sleepland (p.134)
4) "Crossing the Pacific Ocean as a killer whale" by Kick Slumber (p.2-3)

The Wonder Clock - The Time in Dream

A hand watch sized clock is combined into the product for you to see the time during night. The base of the numbers and pointers will glow throughout the night!

HEARING

Smoothing Music - The Voice from Dreams

In our busy and fast pacing world, music is a wonderful way to find down and relax. This product allows you to choose your favourite sound of wonder with dreams, or play it individually when you want to calm down. We also provide you the ability to connect our product with your devices to play your own soothing music through bluetooth.

Deep Sleep Candy - The Taste of Wonder

Deep Sleep Candy are designed to help people fall in sleep faster and easier with Tangy Lemonade flavour, packaged in DEEP OCEAN colour and TANGY colour inspired by an element of the book - the dream payment called "Curiosity":

The "Curiosity" payment has the colour of DEEP OCEAN and the TANGY SWEETNESS flavour which fills your mouth like a "roller coaster" (Lee, 2019, p.92-93).

Pillow Spray - The Smell of Dream

The pillow spray is filled with the scent of summer forest, inspired by the perfume DallerGut, the owner of the DallerGut Dream Department Store, uses to help his customers sort through their thoughts and practice mindfulness.

In the story…

"DallerGut takes out a bottle of perfume the size of his palm and sprays it on the customers pyjamas sleeves. A subtle scent of summer forest spreads through their clothes…This perfume helps you sort though your thoughts in a positive direction" (p.113)

Our packaging resembles the feeling of summer forest with a bit of night mystery vibes to express the concept of dreams.

Ingredients: Lavender, Chamomile, Sweet Orange and Witch Hazel

FEEL

The Humidifier - The Feel of Wonder

The humidifier is inspired by the concept of "Calm Diffuser" appeared in the book. In the story, this diffuser is used by a Dreammaker called Yasnoozz Otra, one of the Legendary Big Five house.

In the story…

'"The entire house exudes an air of maturity, possibly from using the "Calm Diffuser"…' (p.191)

But instead of making the air more mature, we make the air more COMFORTABLE for you! To refill water, simply open the cap!

LOGO DESIGN

Inspired by art nouveau, Glamour & the name of DallerGut

The DallerGut Dream Department Store is the landmark of the city in the book, it is described to be glamorous, which perfectly matches with the art style of art nouveau.

The logo infuses the art ornaments from Art Nouveau, cleverly used the similarity between the shape of "D" and "G" and added in some sparkles to create a dreamy vibe.
